Truskawki kontra bazylia. Owoce z ziołami wykąpane w imbirowym karmelu. Posypane świeżo zmielonym pieprzem. To dowód na to, że w kuchni 2+2 rzadko równa się cztery. Wiadomo, jak smakuje osobno truskawka, osobno bazylia, czy imbir. Ale kiedy połączy się je w jedną całość, tworzy się zupełnie nowa jakość.

2 garście truskawek
1 łyżka soku z ananasa
1 gałązka bazylii
1 gałązka mięty
1 łyżeczka pieprzu czarnego
1 łyżeczka imbiru
5 łyżek cukru
1 łyżka masła
pieprz


Jak to zrobić:
Na patelni podgrzewaj cukier, aż zacznie się topić. Mieszaj go od czasu do czasu drewnianą szpatułką.
UWAGA! NIE DOTYKAJ GORĄCEGO KARMELU PALCEM!!! NIE PRÓBUJ GO! (Karmel ma około 2000 stopni i można się poważnie poparzyć.)

Umyj truskawki, oderwij szypułki i pokrój każdą na cztery części.

Do karmelu dodaj łyżkę masła, zamieszaj, potrzymaj chwilę na ogniu i wlej sok ananasowy. Zagotuj, dodaj imbir i pieprz. Trzymaj na ogniu, aż karmel się zagęści.

Posiekaj bazylię i miętę.

Wrzuć truskawki na patelnię. Smaż przez chwilę z każdej strony, aż staną się miękkawe. Wrzuć posiekane zioła, wymieszaj, potrzymaj jeszcze moment na ogniu i przełóż owoce na talerze.
Polej po wierzchu karmelem. Posyp świeżo zmielonym pieprzem.
